Source: bookplate indicates "Tessier" meaning this is a firmin didot edition printed in the 1820's (probably) although previous cataloguing indicates 1804 (could not substantiate either way) Tessier was the bookbinder to the french natinal treasury at the turn of the 19th century. Second bookplate indicates endowment to the "academy" by "gen. john armstrong"
