Source: bookplate indicates "Tessier" (possibly early Firmin didot) printed in the 1820's (probably, possibly earlier, 1804?) although previous cataloguing indicates 1804 (could not substantiate this though) Tessier was the bookbinder to the french natinal treasury at the turn of the 19th century. Second bookplate indicates endowment to the "academy" by "gen. john armstrong"
